Focke-Wulf Fw 190

Remarks by Carlo Soliani: "Focke-Wulf Fw 190 captured by RCAF No. 401 Squadron (YO was the code of this Squadron)."

05/14/2004. Remarks by Hans-Gerd Brummel: "The depicted plane is a version with BMW 801 radial engine (short nose), which are found on the A and F series. The plane on the photo has the larger late war bulges of the fuselage MG 131 cover, which were only found on the A7, A8, A9 (fighters) and the F8, F9 (fighter bomber/ground attack aircraft). The plane also shows the late war blown canopy, which excludes the A7. The picture quality is too poor to differentiate between the A or F series. It can be either an A8, A9, F8, or F9 model. Production date: late 1944 - end of war."
