07/07/2007. Powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin Mk.VIII, this Fulmar
(the fifth production aircraft) was first flown in January 1940.
Together with the second production aircraft, s/n N1855, it went to
the A&AEE for trials. Thereafter it was used by Fairey for test with
a number of devices, including double-split flaps. |
