15/01/2007. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Studying the original photo have led to the conclusion that this photo is a fake, and the aircraft was previously erroneously identified as a RAF Kittyhawk and as French H81A-1.

It is a heavily retouched photo of an USAAC P-40 to represent a French Hawk 81A-1. The French aircraft that were ready before France was at war show bare metal finish except for the French tricolor and aircraft data on the rudder."
