Vultee 48C P-66 Vanguard

08/31/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "These Model 48Cs were originally ordered by Sweden but the US government banned the shipment of these aircraft and they were earmarked for the UK. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, all 144 were impressed by the USAAF, assigned s/ns and designated P-66-VUs. This aircraft was assigned the s/n 42-6833. One hundred four of these aircraft were later furnished to the Chinese AF."

06/08/2004. Remarks by Bob Perry: "Pictured on the left is Air Marshal W.A. Bishop, the Canadian Victoria Cross holder, on the right is a member of the Vultee board."
