First flown in 1968.
Remarks by Bill Ewertz: "This is the Minicab I once owned and flew to Evergreen where you took the photo. It no longer exists as it was allowed to rot away."
01/15/2003. Remarks by Walter van Tilborg: "The Minnicab originates from France and is the design of Yves Gardan (hence GY-20) which appeared in the late 1940s and built by a company named CAB. Several dozen were built. License for amateur construction was acquired by the Canadian firm of Maranda Aircraft around 1957 and a special model was developed, sometimes with tricycle landing gear. The aircraft is quite popular in the USA and Canada. Reportedly, Maranda marketed a model quite similar to the original Minicab, the BM-4, and a BM-5 model with increased wingspan and reinforced construction."
