Stearman C-3B

05/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Produced in 1928, the pictured aircraft was originally registered as NR6433. It is shown in the markings of National Parks Airways Inc., the airline that in 1929 flew US Air Mail contract CAM 26 for the 465 mls (748 km) route Great Falls, Montana, to Salt Lake City, Utah, using a Stearman C-2M, NR1598 c/n 103.

Sometime in its existence the aircraft has been converted to a C-3D, fitted with an 180 hp Wright E (license-built Hispano-Suiza 8) eight-cylinder liquid-cooled V-engine. The engine is also stated at the FAA Registry, where the aircraft is still registered. However, the aircraft is shown with a radial engine."
