01/22/2007. Remarks by David Longford: "This is one of a number of prints I inherited from my father (Geoff Longford) who worked at Gloster Aircraft Co from around 1940 until 1955. He finished as Head of Engineering Development (or similar title). The majority of the photos are of early Javelins with a few Meteors, all of which he was closely involved in the design of. Whether he worked on the G.42 I don't know."
