Terrafugia Transition

07/31/2009. This roadable aircraft was first flown by test pilot Colonel Phil Meteer (USAFR ret.) at Plattsburgh International Airport, New York, on March 5, 2009. It is powered by an 100 hp Rotax 912S pusher engine that also powers the vehicle on the road at highway speeds. For use on the road and storage the wings can be folded in thirty seconds. The first production examples are planned to be delivered in 2011.
