10/18/2004. Remarks by Curtiss Aldrich: "Photo pre-war or early WW II era as the "red circle" hadn't been painted out of the US emblem yet.....to trigger happy 'ground pounders' the red circle resembled the red insignia on Japanese airplanes.....not a good thing for the crew in the Cub."
