It became the sole German-registered Airvan on January 11, 2006, as D-EOLF, and since it is serving the "Ostfriesische Inseln" (East-Frisian Islands) of the German North Sea coast. Annually some 4,500 passengers make the fourteen-minutes trip from Emden to Borkum, considerable shortening the time the two-hour boat trip takes."
