Bell 47G-4A-T

12/31/2010. Produced in late 1970 as a 260 hp Lycoming VO-540-B1B3 powered model 47G-4A, this helicopter was previously registered N7071J and C-GUKW, and it came on the German register in January 1978. On June 4, 2001 it had a serious mishap at Merseburg and was deregistered as 'written off', however it was rebuilt and subsequently fitted with a Soloy gas turbine engine..

The helicopter is pictured during the Kieler Woche (Kiel Week), the annual seven-day sailing attraction in the Kieler Förde (Kiel Fjord), with more than 3,5 million guest attending from over 70 countries during June 18 to 26, 2005. It was destroyed the day after it was pictured, crashing into the Kieler Förde, only one occupant sustained minor injuries.
