It was purchased by NATO through the US Foreign Military Sales organization in March 1984, and registered LX-N90456 in Luxembourg, it was delivered at NATO AB Geilenkirchen, Germany on November 7, 1984.

The aircraft was pictured during the 30 Years AWACS Jubilee."
