07/31/2012. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Four KZ III U-3 planes (OY-DHY, OY-DYZ, OY-DZE and OY-DZA) were built as ambulance aircraft with room for a stretcher which could be loaded through an opening in the left side of the fuselage. The aeroplanes were in service with the Zonen-Redningskorpset (an ambulance rescue service firm) until 1963. The ambulance aeroplanes were able to land on nearly all the small islands in Denmark and Zonen-Redningskorpset also used the planes for other purposes.
Zonen-Redningskorpset used OY-DZA for the last time as an ambulance aircraft on December 11, 1962, transporting a patient from the tiny island of Hesselø to Holbæk at the island of Sjælland. Eventually OY-DZA was donated by Chr. Hoelgaard Lund to the Kramme & Zeuthen Club, which in turn transferred the plane to the Dansk Veteranflysamling (Danish Vintage Aircraft Collection) at Stauning, Denmark."
