04/30/2019. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Culver Aircraft. Corporation of Wichita, Kansas, producing the two-seat Model V, was forced to close down in late 1946 when the expected post WW II boom in private flying did not materialize.
The design was revived in mid-1956 when the Superior Aircraft Company was formed at Culver City, California, by Priestly Hunt Aircraft Corporation to purchase the assets of Culver. The aircraft was developed into the Superior Satellite, which mainly differed from the Culver-built model in having a 95 hp Continental engine. The pictured prototype was first flown on December 20, 1957, unfortunately only four production aircraft (c/n 527 to 530) were built, before the production was ended."
