03/19/2005. Remarks by Nico Braas: "Originally intended as a bomber, Type 163 was at a later stage converted as an experimental transport/passenger plane. It was planned to operate it on Imperial Airways lines in the Middle East in 1932, but these plans never materialized and only one Type 163 was built. On the picture, we see the four-engined Type 163, with the Type 161 COW gun fighter on the background."
