Pilot seated in front cokpit, while the gun loader sat in a separate cockpit, loading the by then heaviest airborne recoilless gun, a 4 in (102 mm) Kurchevski DRP, the blast was ejected from the rear of the fuselage. It was powered by two 760 hp Hispano-Suiza 12 Ybrs twelve-cylinder liquid-cooled V-engines. The aircraft was first flown in February 1935, but not taken into production.
