10/31/2011. Remarks by
Johan Visschedijk: "The third pre-production Ouragan (Hurricane) was delivered to the CEV (Centre d'Essais en Vol, flight test center) at Brétigny-sur-Orge on February 23, 1951. It became the development aircraft for the Hispano-Suiza HS403 afterburner for the Rolls-Royce Nene 104B turbojet, license-built by Hispano-Suiza. It increased the static thrust from 5,004 lb (2,270 kg) to ca. 6,800 lb (3,084 kg). First flight with use of afterburner was made in 1953."
