05/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Descomb brothers Roger and Charlie, started Descomb Flying Service at Connecticut's Hartford-Brainard Airport in 1919. The pictured D-29A was acquired fresh from the manufacturer in 1930, and served with the company for 13 years. Sold in 1943 it made a few flights before it was stored in 1944 for 55 years, till it was bought by Mike Butler from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who started the present restoration of the aircraft."
