Remarks by Ed Coates: "The Pushpak was the Aeronca 11CC Super Chief built under license in India by Hindustan Aircraft between 1958 and 1969. In all 154 of them were built. This particular aircraft, VT-DWA, undertook a "Freedom Flight" from Kumari to Srinigar (roughly the extreme south to north in India) in 1999 to celebrate India's '50 years of Independence'." |
