Aero A-18C

07/31/2009. Remarks by Claudio Delfini: "The Aero A-18 single-seat fighter was designed by Antonin Vlasák and Antonin Husnik. The prototype first flew in March 1923 and was followed by twenty production aircraft. The A-18B and A-18C were one-offs developed for the national speed contests of 1923 and 1924 respectively.

The A-18C was fitted with an 185 hp Walter W-IV six-cylinder, liquid-cooled in-line engine, with the radiators fitted to the wing surfaces. The aircraft on display is a replica fitted with the original wings."
