12/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "One of 99 A-26B-20-DLs produced for the USAAF at Long Beach, California, this aircraft was redesignated B-26B in 1948, when the then USAF dropped the attack-role. It came on the civil registry as N9682C and has been used for spraying and it was listed as Tanker number 105. In 1980 it was registered to Harley Wilke of Harlingen, Texas and on August 21, 1982 it was reregistered to the Confederate AF (CAF, presently known as Commemorative AF), at Harlingen.
In 1988 an eight-year restoration was started and on June 10, 1996, it flew again, fitted with the transparent A-26C nose, named Vegas Vixen, and it was reregistered to the CAF American Airpower Heritage Museum in Midland, Texas. In 2003 it was renamed Lady Liberty."
