Beech D18S Expeditor Mk.3NMT

03/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This was one of 1,035 model D18S produced after WW II. The RCAF bought 280 of them designated as Expeditor Mk.3, they all had dual c/n assigned in the A- and CA- series.

The aircraft was delivered to the RCAF as a Mk.3NM, s/n 1538, on March 25, 1952, and immediately stored. On February 1, 1958, it was assigned to the Central Experimental & Proving Establishment at RCAF Station Uplands, Ontario. Exactly to the day three years later, February 1, 1961, it was converted to an Expeditor Mk.3NMT, transferred to the National Aeronautical Establishment (NAE), also at Uplands, on May 15, 1965, and four days later it was registered as CF-SKJ. While with the NAE it was reregistered to C-FSKJ, the registration was cancelled on July 15, 1991.

On February 11, 1992 it was registered for only five weeks to Krista Investments Limited, North Vancouver, British Columbia, as it was sold on March 17, to Aircraft Guaranty Title and Trust, Houston, Texas, USA, registered as N21FS. It was finished in the markings of a C18S AT-7BS Navigator, USAAF s/n 41-21072. It is still registered in the USA, however, in April 2006 it was ferried to Denmark, where it is operated by OPMA, named "Great Danes"."
