Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This aircraft was assigned to the 77th Bomb Squadron, 28th Operations Group, 28th Bomb Wing, Eighth Air Force, Air Combat Command and based at Ellsworth AFB located 10 mls (16 km) east of Rapid City, South Dakota. The 77th Bomb Squadron was inactivated on September 19, 2002."
