12/31/2011. Remarks by Doug Duncan: "This Bull Pup was once owned by renowned Los Angeles TV newsman Clete Roberts, who may well have owned it at the time I took this photo. Originally fitted with a 45 hp Szekely SR-3 three-cylinder radial engine, the aircraft is seen here fitted with a 75 hp Continental A-75 four-cylinder horizontally-opposed engine. Although it's painted in a pre-WW II P-26 "Peashooter" scheme, this aircraft never saw military service."
