05/27/2017. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "In 1927 Potez built the prototype Potez 29 cabin biplane, registered F-AIQD (c/n 1128). This was a commercial development of the Potez 25 reconnaissance-bomber. It was a single-bay biplane of unequal span and was of mixed construction. The prototype was powered by a single 450 hp Lorraine-Dietrich 12Eb twelve-cylinder "broad-arrow" type liquid-cooled engine, had an enclosed cockpit for two crew and a cabin for five passengers.
The 29/2 was one of the two main production versions, four were supplied to the Yugoslav airline Drustvo za Vazdusni Saobracaj AD (Aeroput) early in 1928 (registered UN-EBC c/n 1217, UN-ECD c/n 1216, UN-EDF c/n 1215, UN-EFG c/n 1214), and on February 15, 1928, the airline began operation with these on services between Belgrade and Zagreb. The French airline Aéropostale had the 29/2 F-AIVX (c/n 1497), and this was later transferred to Aeroposta Argentina. Early in 1929 Aeroput took delivery of two more 29/2s (UN-EGH c/n 1404, UN-EHI c/n 1448). In 1932 one aircraft was delivered to French Government (F-ALVR c/n 2744).
Also during 1929, 120 were delivered to the French AF, these were used for passenger transport, could carry three patients on litters and were used for explorations missions in many of the French colonies in Africa and Indochina. Reportedly these 120 aircraft were designated Potez 29/10s."
