12/22/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was one of 35 C-119F-KMs ordered directly by the RCAF from Kaiser Manufacturing Corporation at Willow Run, Michigan, as replacement for the Douglas (C-47) Dakotas then in service. It is pictured while with the Central Experimental and Proving Establishment, at RCAF Station Uplands.

After service in the RCAF, this aircraft was sold to Hawkins & Powers of Greybull, Wyoming, registered N961S and converted to an aerial tanker to fight forest fires. It's fate is unknown, although the aircraft is still on the FAA Register."
