03/15/2006. Remarks by Ed Coates: "This aircraft was built in 1935 and registered as NPC-41 it spent its early years in the Philippines in mining operations. NPC was the landcode for the Phillipines US Territory.
Subsequently the aircraft was registered in Canada with MacKenzine Air Services as CF-BTW in 1940 and was operated on wheels, floats and skis. CF- BTW crashed in July 1941 and was rebuilt and sold to Northern Air Services (NAS) in September 1943, NAS later became part of Canadian Pacific Air Lines (CPA).
Sold to Central Northern Airways May 19, 1947, the airline later became TransAir Ltd., seen here on skis and floats, and was involved in an incident in 1968. Sometime in the late seventies the aircraft was sold to Barney Lamm, of Ontario Central Airlines. On December 11, 1992 it was registered as N2191K and is now located at the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon."
