Arado SC II

07/31/2011. While in use with the E-stelle (Erprobungsstelle, Test Center) at Rechlin, the SC I with c/n 37 (registered D-1311) made a forced landing at Berlin in February 1928. It was rebuilt with several modifications, most importantly it was fitted with a 230 BMW Va twelve-cylinder water-cooled V-engine, and in this form it became the prototype SC II. It was displayed at the Salon de l'Aeronatique at Paris in 1928 and subsequently ten were produced for the DVS (Deutsche Verkehrsfliegerschule, German Transport Pilot School).
