08/15/2008. The British Klemm Aeroplane Co.Ltd. was formed at Hanworth, London, UK, in February 1933, to manufacture the previously imported German Klemm L 25.

The first new product, the Eagle I, was designed by George Handasyde and Herold Boultbee, the pictured prototype was flown in early 1934, followed by forty-two production aircraft. The company was renamed British Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd. on April 4, 1935, while the prototype was written off in June 1938.
