The photos in this collection come from Mick's accumulation over his years of service with the RAF as an aerial reconnaissance photographer, and from photos acquired by Eric Simm's father during his service at RAF Duxford, England, UK, in WW II where American and captured German aircraft were tested. Mick Gladwin and Eric Simms were neighbors in Cambridgeshire, England.
November 27, 2004. Remarks by Mick Gladwin: "It is with sadness I am informing you that Mr. Eric Simms, a close friend for the past 16 years, died in his sleep Monday November 22. I will miss the way in which we would talk about history and the Royal Air Force, he from the WW II period and myself from the modern period. I was grateful to hear his stories and see the photos he had collected."
