09/30/2008. The XBT2C-1 represented an unsuccessful bid by Curtiss to win a large contract for an attack aircraft. Only ten ships of the last USN Curtiss were ordered, BuNo. 50879 to 50888 (the last one was not completed), and the first flight took place on January 24, 1946. |
