North American NA-191 TF-86F Sabre

12/31/2008. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Converted from an F-86F-30, this was the prototype TF-86F, first flown by test pilot Ray Morris on December 14, 1953. It crashed only three months later, March 17, 1954, killing test pilot Joe Lynch. Six days later a second prototype was authorized and the last F-86F-35, s/n 53-1228 was converted and flew on August 5, 1954. Although the TF-86F was not taken into production, 53-1228 was used as a chase plane at Edwards AFB, California."
