06/30/2012. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This Otter was originally piston engine powered, the seventh of nine produced for the Burmese AF (s/n UB651 to UB659) between 1958 and 1961. It was delivered to Burma on November 17, 1961 with s/n UB657, which later was altered into 4657. In 1989 it was one of seven that were sold on the civil market, and it went to Sweden where it was registered to Svenska Fallskärmsklubben Aros of Västerås as SE-KOX on 15 May 1990. In 2005 it was exported to the USA where it was registered to Wipaire Inc. of Saint Paul, Minnesota as N406H on March 4.

Subsequently it was re-engined with a turboprop and designated DHC-3T Turbo-Otter it was sold to Harbour Air Inc. of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, who had it registered as C-FHAH on June 1, 2006. In June 2007 the aircraft was transferred to Malta, where it since has been operated by Harbour Air (Malta) Ltd. On July 18, 2007 the aircraft was registered in Malta as 9H-AFA to the aircraft lessor Viking Air Ltd. of Sidney, British Columbia, Canada, and still is being operated by Harbour Air (Malta) Ltd.

Trading as Harbour Air (Malta) Ltd, the Maltese company Harbour Air Seaplanes has private Maltese majority shareholding, and the company is backed by and has Harbour Air Inc. Canada as its partner. It provides services around the Maltese islands and operates only this aircraft, which Harbour Air designates DHC-3 Single Otter, a marketing name initially used by power plant converter Cox in Canada in the 1980s-1990s."
