05/15/2007. Remarks by Gary Hebbard: "The Typhoon was one of two that landed at St. Johns after the VC-10 supplying them with fuel for a trans-Atlantic crossing from Halifax to England lost several fuselage panels in-flight at 26,000 ft (7,925 m) from its port engine nacelles, causing a loss of pressurization and an emergency landing at St. John's.
The shown Typhoon belongs to 17(R) Squadron, the Typhoon Operational Evaluation Unit. It had its own problems with a generator giving out, also requiring repairs. Ain't flying grand?"
