06/18/2007. This replica is registered to the builder Brian E. Meyer and was first flown in 2006. The original aircraft was built by the Weaver Aircraft Co. (operating under the trade name Waco) in 1920 and is commonly accepted as George E. "Buck" Weaver's first aircraft. The Weaver Aircraft Co. became the Advance Aircraft Co. (still known as Waco) in 1923 before becoming the Waco Aircraft Co. in 1928. |
