04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was the 867th 737 built and made its first flight on April 16, 1982. Two weeks later, it was delivered to the British airline Britannia Airways of London, England, registered G-BJCV. The aircraft was leased to the Canadian airline CP Air on November 1, 1985 registered C-GXCP; CP Air was renamed Canadian Pacific Airlines on December 1, 1986. It was returned to Britannia Airways on April 30, 1986 and named "Viscount Trenchard".

This 737 was subsequently leased to:
- Canadian Airlines International from October 26, 1987 to April 3, 1988
registered C-GCAU
- Midway Airlines of Chicago, Illinois from December 31, 1988 to May 1, 1989
- Air Sul of Lisbon, Portugal, from October 31 to December 22, 1989
registered CS-TMA.

The aircraft was sold to a leasing company and leased to Britannia Airways on December 22, 1989 registered G-BJCV.and sub-leased to Portugal's Air Sul the same day; it was returned on April 9, 1990. On February 9, 1993, it was sold to a Boeing leasing company and leased to Britannia Airways until January 1994. The next lease was to the Irish airline Ryanair of Dublin, Ireland, from January 21, 1994 and reregistered EI-CJC. The aircraft was subsequently sold to a leasing company in Orlando, Florida, and leased to the Peruvian airline Star Peru of Lima, Peru."
