04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was the 367th 747 built and it made its first flight on March 30, 1979. It was delivered to the US airline Pan American World Airways on April 20, 1979 registered N539PA and named 'Clipper Black Hawk'; in 1980, it was renamed 'Clipper Liberty Bell'. It was sold to the US airline United Air Lines on February 12, 1986 and they reregistered it N148UA in June 1986. In May 1994, the aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

On November 16, 1995, it was sold to Worldwide Aircraft Holding Co. and reregistered VR-BAT and leased to the Government of Qatar on November 16, 1995; the government reregistered the aircraft VP-BAT on May 14, 1997. As of this date, the aircraft is still leased to Qatar."
