McKillop: "This was the 367th 747 built and it made its first
flight on March 30, 1979. It was delivered to the US airline Pan
American World Airways on April 20, 1979 registered N539PA and named
'Clipper Black Hawk'; in 1980, it was renamed 'Clipper Liberty Bell'.
It was sold to the US airline United Air Lines on February 12, 1986
and they reregistered it N148UA in June 1986. In May 1994, the
aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored at McCarran International
Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. |
