04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was the 480th 747 built and it made its first flight on September 19, 1980. It was delivered to British Airways 11-days later registered G-KILO and named 'British Trader'. It was sold to Cathay Pacific Airways of Hong Kong, China, on March 15, 1982, reregistered VR-HVY and renamed 'Hong Kong Trader'. In 1997, it was reregistered with the Chinese designation B-HVY. As of this date, the aircraft is still in service with Cathay Pacific." |
