04/19/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This was the 163rd 757 built and it made its first flight on February 1, 1988. The aircraft was delivered to a US bank who leased it to the British airline Air Europe on March 1, 1988 registered G-BNSD. It was sub-leased to the Spanish airline Air Europa on December 13, 1988 and temporarily registered EC-204 and reregistered EC-EMA in January 1989. It was returned to Air Europe on November 21, 1989 and reregistered G-BNSD. Air Europe went bankrupt and the bank owning the aircraft repossessed it on March 15, 1991.

On March 18, 1992, it was leased to the Dutch airline Transavia Airlines and registered PH-TKY until March 26, 1993 when it was purchased by a Boeing leasing company who reregistered it N769BE. On September 27, 1993, it was leased to China Southern Airlines of Guangzhou, China, until August 3, 1998. During this time, the ownership passed through two other leasing companies. The Canadian carrier Royal Airlines of Toronto, Ontario, leased it between October 22, 1998 and November 15, 2001. (Royal Airlines merged with another airline and became Royal 3000 Airlines on May 1, 2001; the company went out of business on November 9, 2001.) The aircraft was then withdrawn from use and placed in storage at Phoenix Goodyear Airport, Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

In 2001, the aircraft had been sold to another leasing company which reregistered it N958PG. The aircraft was leased to the US carrier TransMeridian Airlines of Atlanta, Georgia, on September 20, 2002 and sub-leased to the Columbian carrier Avianca Colombia between September 2003 and March 5, 2004. In May 2004, this 757 was operated for John Kerry's presidential campaign and later for the Kerry and John Edwards presidential campaign between July and November 2004. The aircraft was returned to the lessor and in 2006 leased to the Venezuelan airline Santa Barbara Airlines. As of this date, the aircraft is still operated by the latter carrier."
