Anglin Spacewalker II-RR

05/31/2011. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "While building the J6 Karatoo in 1990, Martin and his father became aware of another Jesse Anglin design, the Spacewalker II, which was being built by the Australian distributor, with both airframes currently being marketed through Serenity Aviation at Bacchus Marsh, Victoria. A real retro machine, the Spacewalker appealed to him as a low 'n slow, fun aircraft, and he maintained an interest in it ever since, and eventually bought the kit-built project

In an easy-going pace, Martin constructed the aircraft in some 2,5 year, however, to transform the aircraft's already classic style into a real 'retro' machine, the usual 125 hp Lycoming engine was not used, instead a nine-cylinder single-row air-cooled Rotec 3600 radial engine of 150 hp was fitted (hence the 'RR' for Rotec radial in the designation). Registered in the Recreational Aircraft Registry of Australia on March 16, 2009, the aircraft was first flown in July 2009."
