06/15/2006. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "The first flight of this aircraft was on February 13, 1959 and it delivered to Ansett-ANA on February 27, 1959. The aircraft was converted to an 188AF freighter with two large cargo doors in July 1972. On June 29, 1984, this 188AF was sold to Turbo Power International Airways (TPI) in the US, reregistered N356Q. In March 1985 it was registered to JBQ Aviation Corporation, Miami, Florida, USA. The aircraft was leased to Air Bridge Carriers on February 10, 1988 and it was reregistered N355WS November 23, 1989. August 1990 it was leased to World Airline Gambia, but returned to TPI before the end of the year. TPI ceased trading in May 1991 and N355WS was stored at Opa Locka, Florida.
The aircraft changed hands a few times on April 8, 1992; reregistered N356Q it was owned again by JBQ Aviation. In October 1992 it was leased to Ei-Air Exports at Dublin, Ireland. Reregistered again on 29 December 1992, N356CE, it was leased to Hunting Cargo Airlines in England till July 1994, when the registration was reverted to N356Q and it was leased to Renown Aviation. In November 1996 the aircraft was sold to First Security Bank, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and leased to Amerer Air of Vienna, Austria. On August 22, 1998 Amerer Air became the new owner, on September 28, 1998 the aircraft was registered as OE-ILB and was leased to TNT International. It was stored from late December 2005, exported to Canada on November 27, 2006."
