Martin 187-B1 Baltimore Mk.III

12/31/2010. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The main bulk of the first British order for the Baltimores was made up of Mark IIIs which featured a Boulton Paul hydraulically-operated dorsal turret, fitted with four 0.303 in (7.7 mm) Browning machine guns of British manufacture; they were serialed AG835-AH184. A number of these aircraft were lost during delivery when the S.S. Thurso Bank and S.S. Loch Don were sunk. The pictured AG837 was used for firing trials at the A&AEE at Boscombe Down."
