10/31/2011. The last of eight C-2s was re-engined and became the XC-7, seen here with the Wright Field Project number XP-545 on the tail. After testing was completed the 'X' was dropped from the designation, and it was subsequently used as a staff transport. It was damaged beyond repair in a crash on February 24, 1931.
