Junkers Ju 88 G-1

10/31/2009. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "On July 13, 1944, Obergefreiter J. Maekle of III./NJG 2 stationed at Langendiebach (near Frankfurt, Germany), flying this night fighter marked "4R+UR", landed in error at Woodbridge, Suffolk. This was the first intact example of an aircraft equipped with FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 radar and the homing devices FuG 227 Flensburg and FuG 350 Naxos. It was transferred to Farnborough were it was allotted the Air Ministry code number "8" and later it was extensively tested under the serial TP190, it was scrapped after October 1945."
