Junkers Ju 88 G-1

10/31/2009. On July 13, 1944, Obergefreiter J. Maekle of III./NJG 2 stationed at Langendiebach (near Frankfurt, Germany), flying this night fighter marked 4R+UR, landed in error at Woodbridge, Suffolk. This was the first intact example of an aircraft equipped with FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 radar and the homing devices FuG 227 Flensburg and FuG 350 Naxos. It was transferred to Farnborough and extensively tested under the RAF serial TP190, it was scrapped after October 1945.
