Douglas DC-3C

03/31/2013. Originally built as a DC-3A-467 C-47B for the USAAF under serial 44-77104, this aircraft was transferred to the RAF as a Dakota Mk.IV with serial KP220. It came on the civil register as a DC-3C (G-ANAF) on June 17, 1953, being deregistered on April 9, 1973, and went to the USA as N170GP. It returned on the British register on March 3, 1977, and subsequently it was used as a radar trials aircraft by Racal, which became Thomson-CSF in 2000 and Thales in December 2000. In November 2007 the aircraft received the pictured livery, and reportedly is nicknamed "Zorro".
