Gloster Gladiator Mk.I

11/30/2011. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The Gladiator was the last RAF biplane fighter, designed as a private venture to Specification F.7/10. The pictured aircraft is an ex RAF aircraft, s/n L8032, and built in 1937. It entered the civil UK Registry as G-AMRK on May 16, 1952. It is pictured in the livery of a Royal Norwegian AAF aircraft, '423' that was destroyed on the ground at Oslo, Norway, during the German invasion in April 1940. Later it was re-sprayed in the livery of a 1938 RAF No. 73 (Fighter) Squadron aircraft wearing the serial K7985 as seen in this photo taken August 7, 2011."
