Last of a batch of 30 Devons (VP952-VP981) this aircraft was delivered as a Devon C.Mk.1, s/n VP981, to 21 Squadron of the RAF on January 3, 1949. After being converted to a C.Mk.2 it served with 207 Squadron. Later it was assigned to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and used as a crew ferry. On October 26, 1998 it was registered as G-DHDV to Air Atlantique at Coventry Airport and is used in their Classic Flight.
