01/22/2007. Remarks by Jack McKillop: "This is one of two C-34s delivered to the USAAC (original as YC-34) in March and April 1936 for use by the Secretary of War. The two aircraft (s/n 36-345 c/n 1415 and 36-346 c/n 1416) were assigned to the 1st Staff Squadron based at Bolling Field, Washington, D.C., USA. The former crashed at Hendricks Field, Sebring , Florida, on January 3, 1943 and the latter crashed at Brookley Field, Mobile, Alabama, on December 29, 1942."
