Johannesson: "It is not known who took the
picture in the Barren Lands. The pilot, wearing the dark parka and
pants, was Wally Carrlon, my uncle. Wally flew for Western Canada
Airways until his death in 1947. Wally's mechanic is standing on
the wing, perhaps removing the engine cover. Note the Eskimo baby
in the box on the sled." |
