Junkers W 34 f

05/27/2003. From Canadian Pacific Air Lines, Its History and Aircraft by D.M. Bain: "CF-ATF, a 1931 Junkers W 34 f, c/n 2718, was registered to PCAL in 1946. The aircraft was sold to Central British Columbia Airways on September 4, 1946. The aircraft is preserved in the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa."

05/27/2003. Remarks by Brian Johannesson: "It is not known who took the picture in the Barren Lands. The pilot, wearing the dark parka and pants, was Wally Carrlon, my uncle. Wally flew for Western Canada Airways until his death in 1947. Wally's mechanic is standing on the wing, perhaps removing the engine cover. Note the Eskimo baby in the box on the sled."
