06/31/2008. With this sole prototype of their private venture DB-1, Douglas gained contracts for 131 B-18s and 217 B-18As for the USAAC, and 20 Digby Mk.Is for the RCAF. The prototype was brought up to B-18 standard and delivered to the USAAC on February 28, 1937.
